Do You Want To Shine At Your Assessment Day? Do You Want To Learn How To Pass Those Dreaded Online Aptitude Tests?
Join my online coaching program today and, if you wish, you can begin tomorrow. (A new group starts every day.)
It’s getting harder & harder for modern professionals to progress due to recruiters’ over-reliance on aptitude testing and the gruelling and highly competitive ‘meat-grinder’ assessment days that have become the norm.
I’ve seen this with my own eyes in the job market, but even more acutely through this site. (I get dozens of emails from desperate and disappointed candidates every week.)
I’m a careers and recruitment consultant with 17 years’ experience working and recruiting for some of the biggest corporate employers in the UK, including BSkyB, UniLever, the BBC and News International.
I provide employability workshops for leading UK universities, write for Guardian Careers and run AssessmentCentreHQ.com, a free job-hunting and careers site that helps over 50,000 modern professionals every month. (You can find me on twitter here.)
Since I launched this site in 2012 I’ve been increasingly inundated with requests from people for 1-to-1 tuition and coaching. So I decided to do something about it.
I created a coaching program for people who need help with their job hunt.
The program teaches candidates how to pass online aptitude tests (like numerical, verbal & logical reasoning) and how to shine in classic assessment day exercises (like role-plays, interviews, case studies, presentations & group exercises).
What’s included in this coaching program?
✓ A 45-minute one-to-one Skype coaching session
During this session we’ll discuss your current situation and the things you’re most worried about.
I’ll share what I know with you; all my best tips and secrets for success throughout the full assessment process. From online applications & aptitude tests, through to assessment centres and interviews.
After our session I’ll email you a customised plan you can follow, highlighting your development areas and ideal practice/study activities. You will have a list of specific actionable steps you can follow to improve your assessment performance.
✓ 2 Live Webinars That Teach You The 4 ‘Pillars’ Of Assessment Success
In these sessions you and the other members of your coaching group will be taken through a structured framework that teaches you the 4 pillars of assessment day and interview success.
Each session will focus on two of these ‘pillars’ and there’ll be plenty of time for Q&A and sharing ideas and useful resources (between you and me, but also between you and the other members of your coaching group).
✓ A free copy of the Ultimate Assessment Day & Interview Guide 2016 (Premium Edition).
This guide usually costs £39.99 but you’ll get it for free. (If you don’t want to join the program you can still buy the guide individually if you wish.)
✓ A free copy of our most popular course Roleplay Masterclass: How To Succeed In Roleplays.
This usually costs £19.99, but you’ll get it for free. (Learn what’s included in this course here.)
✓ A free copy of our 2nd most popular course In-Tray Masterclass: How To Pass In-Tray & E-Tray Exercises.
This usually costs £19.99, but again you’ll get it for free. (See the contents of this course here.)
✓ A free copy of my special report ‘Becoming Superhuman: A 7-Day Program To Deliver Elite Performance At Your Interview Or Assessment Centre’
This is a PDF download that shows you what the ideal prep for an assessment day looks like. It’s basically a 7-day ‘roadmap’ for success.
✓ Unlimited access to our ‘VIP’ video vault
This is new and only available to coaching program members.
Inside this video vault you’ll find coaching videos that teach you how to pass the most common assessment day activities including: numerical and verbal reasoning tests, group exercises, role-plays and interviews.
It’s a central location for all of your coaching videos. (You can watch these videos on any device, laptops, desktops, smartphones, tablets etc.)
There is no faster way to learn how to do something than learning from an expert.
Who is this coaching program for?
Modern and ambitious professionals of all ages.
Whether you’re just leaving university and about to enter the job market or you’re an established senior manager hoping to reach director-level and beyond. This coaching program is centred upon you and we’ll adapt your training to the most appropriate level.
How much does it cost?
The investment to join this program is £99.99. But honestly, this coaching programme won’t cost you a penny; it will make you money. The things you learn in this program will transform your employability and help you again and again in the future, throughout your whole career. (How much is that worth to you?)
For this reason, I encourage you to consider this fee (and any other spending on your self-development) as a smart investment in your future.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens during the Skype coaching session?
Every session is different but broadly speaking there are two elements.
Firstly, we’ll identify your weak points (those that are most pertinent to both your interview AND your prospective role), we’ll then progress to create a clear action plan for you to strengthen those areas and mitigate any damage they could do to your candidacy.
Secondly, we’ll identify your strongest points and create a clear action plan that ensures you leverage those strengths to your fullest advantage. Your session is about giving you the best platform to succeed and it will be uniquely shaped by your situation, role and competencies.
(You’ll also receive a recording of your Skype session. This means you can review it at your leisure to ensure you extract full value from it.)
Do we have to meet in person? Can we meet?
No, the sessions take place via Skype. You can benefit from this programme anywhere in the world provided you have an internet connection.
What happens if I can’t make one of the webinars?
It’s obviously better if you can attend the webinars live, because you can ask questions and get involved with the rest of the group, but if for some reason you can’t make it, don’t worry. All of the webinars will be available to download afterwards.
Can I get a refund if I don’t like the program?
Yes, of course.
So what’s the next step?
You need to set the ball rolling. Make your payment and then fill in the questionnaire we send you giving us the details of the job you’ve applied for and the assessment you’re facing.
(After we receive your payment we will email you a form to give us these details.)
I have questions that aren’t answered here. Can I get in touch?
Yes, of course. Drop me an email and I’ll be glad to help you.

There are no catches and I’m confident you’ll enjoy the program. I’m biased of course, but I think it’s incredibly good value.
I’ll sign off with a few pieces of feedback I’ve received from people who have bought and used my courses and guides to great success. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
“Wow what a resource”
Hi Mike I wanted to drop you a quick note to say how pleased I am that I bought your guide. Wow, what a resource! I used it as my bible for my assessment day with Kelloggs and it was incredibly helpful. I got the job I was chasing and I think it was largely because I bought your guide and took the time to prepare (as you so often recommend). Thank you so much and have a great year. Kind regards, Joel. (Jan 2015)
“I got my dream job thanks to you”
Hello Mike, my husband got me your guide after I found one of your articles about group exercises and realised your entire book is available for purchase. It was just before my interview for an airline company and I knew we were going to have a couple of group exercises on the day. I was really confused what would be the right or wrong thing to do when you are in a group, with assessors watching you. I read your book and listened to you on the podcast like 10 times:) I also practiced afterwards as you advised.
We had 3 group exercises. Without realising I was using your techniques, I was the time watcher, I kept the topic on the track but let other speak as well, I really enjoyed it and I was relaxed and I behaved naturally. You gave me such a lot of confidence.I really enjoyed the style of your book and listening to you on your podcast. Nothing proves that better as I got the job 🙂 Thank you so much!!!:) Mike once again thank you very much for the great advice, I got my dream job thanks for you:)! Regards, Eszter (July 2015)
Monica: “Very well structured and documented”
Good evening Mike. I would like to thank you for your book. It helped me prepare for my assessment interview that took place yesterday! Very well structured and documented. Best regards, Monica (Feb 2015)
“Thank you Mike for your fab guide!”
Hi Mike!! I just wanted to say a big thank you for your fab website and podcasts on assessment day techniques. I work as an admin grade in the Welsh Government in Cardiff and a recent promotion campaign required a group exercise as one of the “tests”. Having only ever worked for approx 20 years in the civil service I had very little knowledge how these should be performed.I read your guide & practised with colleagues using your techniques and I listened to all your podcasts.
There were many of your techniques that I used during my assessment day, two which stand out are offering to be the timekeeper during the group exercise and referring to the other candidates by their names.I am so pleased to say that today I found out that I have passed this part of the campaign(scoring maximum points!! ). My feedback included my timekeeping during the group exercise AND also that I referred to other candidates by their names! Thank you so much!! I would definitely recommend you to my colleagues and friends. Sue H (October 2015)
“Love the list of interview items”
Hi Mike, I am an executive coach. The reason I bought your Guide was that it seemed the best way to help my clients go successfully through the ordeal of this kind of assessment. It has done so with very good results. What I most liked was the clarity of the structure and the explanations; my clients love the list of items to bring with them to their interview. (One specific example, one of them thought the idea of the bananas was very unusual but helpful!) Thanks, Constance (March 2014)
Paul: “Thanks for some very accurate advice”
Hey Mike what can I say except thanks for your very accurate advice prior to my PWC assessment centre. I found your site from it being emailed to me by my university careers department. I’m pleased they did as your guide was very useful. I’m through the next stage, thanks again, Paul. (December 2014)
