Applying for a Warehouse Position
When applying for a warehouse position, make sure you read the job advertisement carefully and in your application, ensure you refer to any similar experience you may have.
The application process looks like this:
- Assessment tests
You will have to do the online assessments before reaching the interview stage. It is essential to review all of Amazon’s principles before doing the assessments and interview, as you can be asked questions based on them.
For example, in the interview, you may be asked how a role in a warehouse will help contribute to customer satisfaction. Or you could be asked how you feel about moving heavy objects. The interviewer will be impressed if you tell them that you follow health and safety regulations and have never been injured.

What Format do Amazon Assessments Take?

Here you can expect to be presented with a scenario of an Amazon employee dealing with a customer. You will be asked to decide if the staff member’s handling of the situation was:

Slightly effective: There is a positive element to the response, but it generally does not address the scenario very well.
Moderately effective: A reasonable response to the scenario, but the solution is incomplete or may have unintended consequences.

You can expect to do the SHL Numerical Test, where the employer assesses your ability to deal with numerical data. Expect to be presented with sets of data, each set followed by three multiple-choice questions.
